Here’s how you can help:
If you are a pharmaceutical manufacturer, distributor or representative, doctor, nurse, dentist, or other health care professional:
We accept prescription and over-the-counter medicines, medical supplies and equipment, hospital uniforms and linens, eyeglasses, dental and dental hygiene equipment and instruments. We do not handle any narcotics and we only accept items that are unopened and sealed.
If you are planning a trip to Cuba or other developing country:
Please contact us if you would like to take a suitcase of medicine/medical
supplies to your destination Full suitcases weigh no more than 10 kilograms.
Note: Travelers are cautioned that the suitcase of medicines will form part
of their personal baggage weight allowance. Although some airlines are lenient,
the travelers may have to assume excess baggage costs if baggage weight limits
are exceeded.
If you or an organization to which you belong wishes to make a financial donation:
Although
everyone working on this project is a volunteer, we do require a small
operating budget. Cheques may be made payable to 'Not Just Tourists
– Edmonton'.
Contact information for the individual or organization making the
donation should accompany the donation.
Please specify if a tax receipt is required.
If you wish to donate a suitcase:
Please contact us if you have a suitcase to donate.
If you wish to volunteer:
Please contact us to discuss how you can be part of our project. Tasks
could include picking up donations of medicines and suitcases,
sorting medicines,
maintaining records, responding to calls and e-mail messages, packing
suitcases, meeting tourists, speaking to groups, delivering outreach

others. There is a task that suits your time and talents.
